21700 Battery Wraps

21700 battery wraps are PVC heat-shrink sleeves for re-wrapping cells with torn or worn outer coverings.

That wrap isn't just cosmetic — it's the cell's insulation, keeping the negative casing separated from the positive terminal. A nicked or torn wrap is a short-circuit waiting to happen, so a cell needs re-covering before it goes into a build. These sleeves slide on and shrink snug with a little heat, restoring a clean insulating layer, and they double as an easy way to color-code or label cells.

Always inspect before assembly: if just the wrap is torn, re-wrap it. If the cell itself is dented, bulging, or leaking, no wrap will fix that — retire it instead.
