Overview

The XTAR L4 is a four-channel AA/AAA battery charger engineered to handle both 1.5V lithium-ion and 1.2V Ni-MH rechargeable batteries in a single compact unit. Powered via USB-C at 5V 2A, the L4 delivers 0.5A of independent charging current to each of its four slots simultaneously, automatically detecting battery type and selecting the optimal charging algorithm upon insertion. For 1.5V li-ion batteries, the L4 employs the TC-CC-CV charging method; for 1.2V NiMH batteries, it uses XTAR's proprietary control technology — both delivering faster charge times, precise termination, and reduced heat generation compared to conventional charging approaches. The L4 can also revive over-discharged batteries, and its hollow-out design aids heat dissipation and makes battery removal straightforward. Six integrated safety protections provide comprehensive coverage across all charge conditions. The package includes the L4 charger, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a user manual.
